God has endorsed Prop 2
At least according to Charlie Howard, the Texas House representative from Sugar Land:

"What we're doing, we are saying, here is a law we are going to follow. It happens to be God's law".

You may view the press conference where Rep. Howard announces the Lord's endorsement with thine own eyes by clicking here (link will carry you to TexansFORMarriage.org and their embedded Windows Media Player will begin).

Hallelujah! Let us now cast our ballots!

(Wait a minute ... has anyone polled Jesus?)

2. The Klan used that very same argument yesterday

And they've dumped the sheets and are now dressing like mall cops.

So... get in line, heathen!

4. Isn't It Getting Dangerous To Invoke The Almighty?
Isn't it getting a little dangerous to invoke the Almighty? After all, the last time somebody went on a tear about Sodom and Gomorrah, Hurricane Katrina tore the H*ll out of the Gulf Coast. After all, there's Ezekiel chapter 16, verses 49 and 50. There wasn't a blamed thing about "hommasexshuls" or a "hommasexshul agenda" in those verses.

5. "has anyone polled Jesus?"
If memory serves me, Jesus said nothing about gay people. Hmmmm, I wonder why certain extreme right-wingers are so obsessed w/one part of the bible?

6. Jesus actually voted with an e-voting machine and it didn't count
The republicans are lying about how Jesus voted since Jesus voted on vapor-wear there is just no way to prove how the ballot was cast.

7. My news actually reported on Jesus and his prop 2 vote tonight...
I shit you not...a group of friends and I were sitting in my friend's apt watching Grey's Anatomy, and the little teaser for the news that ran during the commercials was, "How will Jesus vote on Prop 2 this Tuesday? Find out at 10."

We had to rewind the tivo to watch it twice. I thought Gloria Campos was better than that.

8. So did they say Jesus voted a particular way?
I can't believe they would make that crap up on local news. They have become even more irrelevant as a news source.

9. they didn't even say how he voted
during the actual broadcast. They just presented the same arguments from both sides. They had two local pastors from a liberal denomination and a conservative denom, and had them present their view points. Nothing new. I was totally waiting for them to go live on the scene as Jesus cast his vote. Never happened unfortunately.

11. When I lived in South Carolina
They were voting on a lottery. A church sign said "Jesus would vote no". Oh, you mean Jesus doesn't want your schools to succeed?

14. Work over the next 12 months
We need to beat feet to the polls tomorrow, and mobilize over the next year get hatred out of elected offices. We may not be able to do anything about special interests in our lifetimes, but we must take baby steps. If we stop trying, they have won.

15. We can't stop trying.
And we have to remember that this state was blue and still is very blue in a lot of places. I want Texas back from the clutches of these freaks.
