Remember the Norwoods at the SOTU? Pflugerville PO named after son

U.S. President George W. Bush shakes the hands of Janet Norwood as Bill Norwood (L) looks on at the White House, July 21, 2005, after signing into law H.R. 1001, the Naming of the Sergeant Byron W. Norwood Post Office Building, designating the U.S. Postal Service facility in Pflugerville, Texas, in honor of their 25-year-old son who died in combat in Iraq. Joining the Norwoods for the signing are Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX), and First Lt. T.Ryan Sparks (R), 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines

2. well, if she, the hubby and the son all felt it was worthwhile....
...for big oil, then more power to them. if people who support this illegal and immoral war actually believe it is worthwhile and they go and fight and their children die and they don't complain about it, well i won't jump all over them. i disagree with them and their immoral politics, but they suffered a horrible loss and for that i feel sorry for them.

what irks me more is the reclining chair warriors (i.e. freepers) that pledge their undying love of fascists like bushco but make absolutely no sacrifice. they cheerlead for the war but would never lift a finger to go fight in it.

freepers = fascist boot lickers
freepers = cowards
freepers = white trash

destroy fascists!

3. I agree with you if they feel that way. But the poor, deluded
woman probably thinks her son died for truth, justice and the American way. Pathetic. Maybe it's best she never learns the truth.

5. hey, but she got a chance to shake hands with......
....the crawford chimp. he used political connections to avoid service in vietnam, which meant his life was never endangered on the battlefield. that ultimately led to his rise to the puppetship of the presidency of the US where he was able to jam through a war, designed by his military industrial complex puppetmasters, so that her son (who obviously lacked the political connections that chimpy had) would be sent to iraq to kill and die. one should feel honored to be in that position.

6. Always a reminder.....
of how the Republicans failed this country. Years from now when the truth is known everyone who goes to the Sergeant Byron W. Norwood Post Office Building will know how the Republicans lied to start a war and got this man killed.
