5. The event itself is sold out
But there are still tickets for the concert Saturday night with Joe Ely and Howard Dean.

Yeah, people forget that Howard was the father of the maple syrup blues.

yes and yes.

I also think it might be a god idea to resurrect the DU name tags from the State Convention last summer. Somebody should poke Richardo about it.

:)

I'll be happy to generate Skinner-approved DU nametags for all interested parties. Please include your e-mail address and PM me if interested.

13. I should probably clarify that we will miss
the Gruene outing Friday, as we'll be at the blogger's caucus from 5-6pm, and the David Van Os fundraiser at Nuevo Leone from 6 to 7:30, and then on to Threadgill's for the Welcome Get-together from 7:30 till not-too-late.

Here's a schedule of all events and festivities for the weekend.

29. Everybody who wants to meet David Van Os
after the Friday evening caucuses needs to RSVP:

Earlier this week you were invited to a Fund raiser for the David Van Os Attorney General Campaign. The invitation to the event requested a contribution of $100. Several loyal, progressive Democrats have told us that while they support the campaign, the contribution amount is just too high.

****We hear you.***

David wants anyone that would like to attend this fund raising event to come. Whatever contribution level is comfortable to you will be gratefully accepted.

So, please join us as Richard Morrison welcomes David to DemFest and take the opportunity to hear about his exciting grass roots campaign for Texas Attorney General.

Friday, June 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Nuevo Leon Restaurant
1501 East 6th, Austin, Texas (near the campus of HUston-Tillotson University)

RSVP: collindave@moment.net

to go together. I think we are still going to go, and my husband wants to go to Austin just because he likes Austin, I will try to get him a ticket to the dinner.

Thanks for the tip

in fact I'm a volunteer and will likely be the person signing you in on Saturday morning. So if you see a worker-bee with long brown hair ask, "Is that you Velma?". :)

20. me, me, me
I wish I had 3 clones. I need them. I'm attending as well as working Department of Public Works. Look for our fabulous D.P.W. badges. And yes we need the stinking badges. DPW is overseeing registrations, parking, power, sound, seating and the big ol' tent. It's not too late to volunteer to help either.

Can't make the side trip to New Braunfels. Hope everyone has a great time at that. Hope to meet every DUer. Is anyone (GOPisEvil, VelmaD) maybe trying to organize a DU meetup event. Maybe we can all just meet somewhere at Stubb's on Saturday night.

Look for the ACLU-TX Voting table at DemFest. We need you to become BBV system watchers throughout the state. We'll be sharing a table with the Progressive Populist Caucus of the Democratic Party (PPC). Sign up to be our eyes and ears in your county. Only you can protect your right to a fair and accurate vote!

26. dg your Stubb's ticket is included
DG, attendees to DemFest have the concert at Stubb's on Saturday night included in their registration. When you get your wrist band at DemFest that's going to get you in for free to the Stubb's show. The New Braunfels show of course is an off site concert with other DUers.

The Markos (DailyKOS) blogger's breakfast is a separate event that's $16 and I'm not sure they have sold out of those yet. They were only selling 200 and the $16 was to cover the breakfast cost.

Here's the link on the DFT site and it doesn't say it's sold out yet
http://www.democracyfortexas.org/Demfest/breakfast

Look forward to meeting you.

36. my car does take six
but i'm driving to austin this weekend, then turning around & taking one of my cats to sa for surgery on monday, then to duvall county for a hearing on wednesday, then returning to sa to pick up my cat afterwards. so, if i can eliminate some driving, i'm all for it.

(i will still, however, offer my chauffering services to shuttle folks to lunch & dinner at dem fest, tho.)
