I need some good ideas for questions for the school board candidates
in our local small town election. No one runs as repuke or Dem. And even the home town Dems consider these folks to be unknown entities. I have a chance to input some good revealing questions. What do you suggest?

4. Well, I already know what that answer will be. We have a local Texas
school board member in town. (Gail Lowe. Her husband runs the right wing rag they call a paper.) These people are very anti-science and pro-religion.

6. If they believe that then why are they running for election or doing
anything but hanging around the house for that matter?

3. Ask if they agree to forced harming of children with drugs?
Another thread here I just read tonight is about teachers and principals forcing children to take harmful drugs in order to be allowed to attend school. For people that can't afford private school, you have no choice but to do what they demand. The teachers love to keep the students in a trance-like state because they're too lazy to work. Just ask how they feel about forcing people on drugs.

5. Seen that personally but if the parents put their foot down they cannot
force the drugs on the child. They can put them in alternative classes which is probably just as bad.

7. I know a couple of parents that put their foot down...
and they almost lost their children. If you don't have money for a private school and aren't allowed in a public school, you're going to jail for not educating your kids. It sucks, but the principals know they have the poor between a rock and a hard place.

9. Ask them what they think about the new school finance bills
that just passed. That should be revealing.

Find out how much they know about the school system already. Ask them about bonds, the school system's credit rating, etc.

Here's an easy one -- ask them what the school board DOES. If they expect to run for school board, they should know, right?

11. Here's a few
1. Do they support girl's playing boy's sports if the girls do not have an optional team?
2. If they had a choice between hiring a teacher with a Master's in Education or a coach that teaches elective courses, which one would they hire and why.
3. Do they believe in an open door policy for parents?
4. Ask why they believe that violence in schools has increased and if gun control laws are adequate to protect the kids.
5. Ask if they feel prayer should be allowed in the schools.
6. Ask them to give examples of role models for our children--if they name * or the Pope, cross them off your list, lol.
7. Ask if they support the military recruiting the students in the school.
8. Ask them if they can only keep one current dress code rule in effect, which one would it be?
9. If they could only teach one subject in school, which one would it be.

Those are a few. Good luck!
