Mayor of Crawford Won't Seek Reelection
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na-briefs27.3mar27,1,1523532.story?coll=la-headlines-politics

Months after he endorsed Democrat John F. Kerry for president, the mayor of the tiny town made famous by President Bush's ranch has decided not to seek reelection.

Crawford Mayor Robert Campbell said his decision had nothing to do with fallout from his decision to join the National Conference of Black Mayors in endorsing Kerry. Instead, he cited differences with the city council.

1. Why doesn't he recommend Bush for the Mayor's job? Anything
that gets Bush away from his current job can't be bad. As one of the perks, he gets to clear the brush everyday at his "ranch", sort of like the vacations he takes from his day job today. In return the tax payers get him a retirement package that consists of a lifetime supply of pretzels,a Segway scooter and a bicycle with a third training wheel. Must be an attractive package for him.
