1. Enjoy it for me
I went to see the Iron Giant last night with screenwriter Tim McCanlies in attendance. The new theater is totally cool. Stadium seating. Loved it.

Dazed and Confused is one of my favorite Linklater films. Hope you have a good time. I had to go to an endorsement meeting tonight.

3. Some were under the influence, no doubt
But the new Alamo in South Austin is a great little theater. They do parties too. How about we look into this for either DemFest or a DU Christmas party.

4. Check out the drive in!
The carhop place where they pull in, The Top Notch, is an Austin tradition. It's been on Burnet Road for years.

It is owned by the family of the boy I had a crush on in junior high. The Stanishes.

6. It has been many moons since I've been to Top Notch.
But I went to junior high just next door at St. Louis Catholic school, so we went over every once in awhile.

My parents thought it was cute to watch me gaze at Joe over my cheeseburger.
