Ramsey, Mumpower likely masterminds behind cover-up '07 Wikipedia editing by Rep. Matthew Hill on state computer
Muzzled TN Department of Department of Finance and Administration still mum on account information

Two ranking Republican leaders within the Tennessee General Assembly are the likely Northeast Tennessee masterminds behind the cover-up of the "blanking editing" of text from an Wikipedia biography pertaining to Rep. Matthew Hill (R-7, Jonesborough)from a state-owned computer and online access account maintained by the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration following the related and more widely 2007 media coverage of Wikipedia editing from the U.S. Congress that ultimately led to the resignation of a congressional press secretary working for the U.S. House of Representatives and contributed to the eventual 2008 defeat of the former one-term U.S. Representative David Davis of Johnson City.

As reported in the http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2007/aug/11/entries-on-wikipedia-edited-bydavis-aide/">August 11, 2007 edition of the Knoxville News Sentinel, a Wikipedia administrator, "Durova", from San Diego, California discovered that "blanking vandalism" of referenced material within the Wikipedia biography articles pertaining to both Tennessee State Representative Matthew Hill of Jonesborough and then U.S. Rep. Davis had originated from a computer within the U.S. House of Representatives pertaining to "...information Hill sought to delete involved political contributions to both his brother and Davis by former King Pharmaceuticals CEO John Gregory as well as other ties to the Gregory family."

The sourced information that Hill attempted to delete from the Matthew Hill and David Davis Wikipedia articles included references to both Tennessee State Rep. Jason Mumpower and then Tennessee State Senator Ron Ramsey, and also to his father, http://www.state.tn.us/tra/leadership/hillbio.html">Kenneth C. Hill. The elder Hill who was later appointed by Ramsey to serve as a Director within the Tennessee Regulatory Authority.

Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey, R-Blountville

Rep. Jason Mumpower, R-3, Bristol

However, the KNS article did not follow up the July 17, 2007 online article http://searchengineland.com/seo-tips-tactics-from-a-wikipedia-insider-11715">"SEO Tips & Tactics From A Wikipedia Insider" by Durova by checking the history of the Matthew Hill article that had an earlier June 11, 2007 edit originating from a computer on a network operated by the State of Tennessee:

Rep. Matthew Hill, R-7, Jonesborough.

The identification of the State of Tennessee employee who edited the Matthew Hill Wikipedia article on June 11, 2007 has yet to be released by the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration nor has this hushed up information yet been reported by any major Tennessee news organization.
