The Tennessee Senate is considering Senate Bill 209, the Medical Marijuana Act of 2009.  This measure, which seeks to allow for the use of medical cannabis by terminally ill patients, is now before the Senate Standing Committee, General welfare, Health and Human Resources.

As introduced, SB 209 seeks to allow state-qualified patients to possess up to eight ounces of medical cannabis and/or 18 plants (six mature, twelve immature).

A companion bill, HB 368, is also pending in the House.

Please take a moment today to contact your elected officials and ask them to support SB 209 and HB 368. For your convenience, a pre-written letter will be e-mailed to your elected officials when you enter your contact information below.

Thank you for supporting NORML's marijuana law reform efforts in Tennessee.
