Corker is afraid of Tim Russert!!!!
Why is it that Corker/Porker is afraid to debate Harold Ford, Jr. on Meet The Press??? The other Senate candidate are debating on national TV....Could it be the national press might ask tougher questions or Tim Russert might inquire about his shady land deal while he was mayor of Chattanooga?? Is it not odd that Porker's company made more money during his years as mayor than it did when he wasn't??? HMMMM...what is he hiding??

1. All of the above and it could be that he is afraid of being around anyone

who is taller than 5'4". In one of his early ads (the one with his mother) my spouse almost fell down laughing upon the realization that he and his mother were sitting down and all that I heard coming from his mouth with bursts of laughter was, "he can't even stand up with his own mother, they're afraid for anyone to see how short he is.'

Perhaps he's also afraid of the skeletons in his closet and of being shown up on national television. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, if ya know what I mean.

edit: to add a crucial word

2. He's counting on the 30 second smear ads to win the votes...
I don't think (hope) it works this time.

3. Welcome to DU, CraigHinTenn, sorry I missed you before!
I'm with you in hoping that the 30 second soundbites don't work this time around. I spoke with my spouse today and an older co-worker came up out of the blue and stated, "all these years I thought I was a republican, but I think I'm a democrat now, I just don't like the way things are going and I think that I need to do something about it." She's been a fairly hardcore repub, so...I'm hoping, hoping!
