Independent Candidate for Congress Steven W. "Diz" Disbrow, who is launching a campaign opposing Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN 3rd), will speak at the next Democracy for Chattanooga Meetup.

It will be Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. at Silas Marley Restaurant and Tavern, 8705 East Brainerd Road.

A lifetime resident of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mr. Disbrow has been a small business owner since 1989. A longtime independent, he said he is "looking to put our country on a path of fiscal responsibility, government accountability and true energy
independence, while restoring the civil liberties and church-state
boundaries that have been so recklessly eroded in recent years."

Officials said at the meeting, "We hope to finalize plans to join up with other groups like Code Pink, the Answer Coalition, and United for Peace in an antiwar march on Washington, Sept. 24-26.">
