I voted yesterday.
I knew that I wouldn't be home to vote on election day, so I went in to request an absentee ballot, and to my surprise I was asked if I wanted to vote right there.

So I did.

I also picked up the Secretary of State's explanation of the ballot questions.

At least in Dewey County, the ballots are printed, and you may vote anytime you choose at the County Auditor's Office.

1. Every auditor's office has the ballots printed. Early voting began Tues.
Anytime during normal business hours anyone can vote at the auditor's office.

Also, this year you do not need a reason to vote absentee. If you live in a rural area and just want to vote by mail, you can. No questions asked. You will, however, need the absentee request notarized or include a copy of your driver's license with the request. If you have questions, here is the list of auditors.

2. Actually, this was supposed to be Wicasa's post!
I've just begun doing paralegal work for him in his home law office and forgot to log out of DU after posting; apparently, he didn't notice that until he'd already posted this. A common enough mistake, I've done that a million times myself and I'm the ditz who forgot to log off in the first place, lol. I live in Rapid City, in Pennington County, not Dewey County.
