The George and Eleanor McGovern Library and Center for Leadership and Public Service

The library will be dedicated during events beginning October 5 and wrapping up October 7 with an address by President Bill Clinton.

Saturday, Oct. 7
11 a.m.
Dedication of the McGovern Library and Center for Public Service and Leadership - This grand and patriotic event will take place on the lawn outside the library. Former President Bill Clinton will give the keynote address. Other speakers will include Gov. Mike Rounds, Sen. Tim Johnson, Rep. Stephanie Herseth, former Sen. Tom Daschle and Al Neuharth. Sander Vanocur, former news correspondent for ABC and NBC television, will serve as master of ceremonies as we celebrate with dignitaries from across the country and the state. The 147th Army Band Brass Quintet will provide music. Free and open to the public; seating is limited.

Seating is limited (2000 seats) however since it is an outdoor event, anyone can still attend. Bringing a lawnchair is recommended.
