9-10 week old kittens need good homes! Pics inside...
OK, well, MommaKitty is no longer "stray", we've spayed her and are keeping her, and have named her "Novi" - we're moving soon and should have ample room for her and our other three. She brought us her babies about 4 weeks ago, and they are now fully weaned and need loving homes. I know most (if not all) DUers are animal lovers, so here are some pics, and if you're in western North Carolina, almost anywhere in South Carolina or Georgia (and parts of Tennessee) I'll deliver a baby to you if you promise to love, cherish, respect and care for the kitten for the rest of her (or your) life. If you're anywhere else along the eastern seaboard and would be willing to drive to the NC area, I'll also give one to you (I could also, actually, have one delivered to Virginia via a friend of mine).

Anyway, here they are. Three girls, all very distinct personalities, all wonderful little buggers. If you have any questions, ask here or PM me and I'll get back to you asap. Two long-haired tabbies (one orange and one gray) and one short-haired orange tabby with white markings.

1. Why do Tabbies always have the letter M stamped on their foreheads?
And, while they are beautiful and sweet, I already have nine cats. I don't need or want anymore! :)

2. A myth

According to legend, the 'M' marking on the forehead of the tabby cat was created by the prophet Mahomet as he rested his hand lightly on the brow of his favorite cat.

3. I dunno.
But it's required in show tabbies.

Tabby may be the oldest cat look for domestic cats.

You've got fluffy orange kittens and you can't get rid of them? Lordy, they would have blown out of Hyacinth. We could always place the fluffies and the cripples. One eye? Three legs? Placed in a week.

4. My husband brings home cats that have been left on the streets...
We have one calico, on muted calico, An orange tabby (male), a gray and white semi-tabby (part Siamese... she has the shape and the voice, but not the coloring), a gray tabby with strips that start at the back of her head and go straight to her tail, a dark tabby (female), another gray and white tabby, and our first two rescues, a harlequin (male) and his tuxedo sister.

We lost one rescue to heart failure earlier this year. She was a real sweetie. (If she had been human, my husband would have divorced me and married her. )
