Nader angers CBC with demand for apology

Tensions between Ralph Nader and the Congressional Black Caucus flared again yesterday, after a letter from the independent presidential candidate to the caucus chairman, Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), demanded an apology for an “obscene racial epitaph” at a tense meeting last month.

Black lawmakers reacted to Nader’s letter with a combination of anger and disdain, questioning his mental health and accusing him of acute and advanced egomania.

“He ain’t playing with a full deck,” said Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), a member of the caucus and vice chairman of the Democratic caucus.

since it doesn't take the democrats much to piss Ralph off these days so they might have said, "don't f*cking run this year, control your ego" and he took it as an obscene racial epitaph. How DARE they call him EGOTISTICAL and they dropped the F-Bomb! OMG!

4. Epithet vs epitaph

First of all, Ralph needs to learn the difference between "epithet" (a dirty word or racial slur) and "epitaph" (what they put on your tombstone)

If you wanted to call Ralph an "epitaph" it would be something like "Here lies Ralph Nader, who threw away everything he believed in to satisfy his own ego."
