Whose seen F911?
Has anyone been to see F911 in SC? In Columbia?

How are the crowds? Are there any demonstrations outside the theater?

I'm going to try to go tomorrow.

2. report from Spartanburg
Saw F911 at the new Cine 16 at Westgate . Went to the 4:15 matinee. About 1/2 full(app 100 people). Crowd older, average age somewhere near 50. Rather subdued, some lol at the funny or ironic parts, some gasps & moans at mega graphic scenes. Fairly weak applause at end of movie. If one word used to describe exiting crowd it would be thoughtful. No protesters.
Hanging around DU as I do there were no surprises from the movie. Most affecting to me was the opening where members of the Black Caucus tried in vain to enlist Senate help to challenge the Selection. Makes it hard to deny the claims of Chomsky, Zinn and yea, even Nader.

3. My son has seen it
My 19 year old, who has never been that political, called me Saturday night raving about the movie. He said he had never been to a movie where people clapped and cheered at things going on on the screen. He was trying to tell me that the movie proves many unsavory things about the Bushes; I was trying to convince him that I know that already. I plan to see it in the next week. BTW, my son saw it at Columbiana Center.

5. Saw it tonight in Columbia
Went with my husband and 18 year old nephew. The movie was great!

When the movie ended, the crowd applauded. First time I have even seen this happen - anywhere.

When we left the theater, a small group from the Carolina Peace Resource Center was outside with an anti-war display. They did a skit about the so-called hand over of sovereignty to the Iraqi's. Super cool!

When I bought my tickets online, I noticed the F911 is now playing at 3 theaters in Columbia, as opposed to one.
