Fourth Anniversary of the War in Iraq - Events Today!
Aiken, South Carolina
RSVP • Vigil for Peace
Monday, March 19th 2007 5pm
Vigil in remembrance of all who have died in this unnecessary war and calling
for a return of our troops from Iraq. Silent protest vigil, 5-6pm; speakers 6pm,
ending with candlelight vigil.


Charleston, South Carolina

We march in remembrance of all who have died in this unnecessary war and calling
for a return of our troops from Iraq.


Clemson, South Carolina

Gather with friends and family to mourn the deaths and injuries and to support our troops
by demanding an end to the war in Iraq.

Vigil remembering all who have died in Iraq and calling for handing over Iraq to Iraqis
and bringing our troops home.
Featuring speakers from Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out and many more.

RSVP • Silent Prayer Vigil and Reading of SC Names of Fallen Soldiers
Saturday, March 17th 2007 2:00 pm
Participants will stand along Hwy. 17 in Chapin Park in silent prayer for peace while names
of fallen soldiers from S.C. are read. Signs of a pro-peace message or identifying participating
groups are encouraged. Some participants may wish to bring a chair. This vigil has been ongoing,
monthly since before the War in Iraq began.


Rock Hill, South Carolina

Weekly Event
Our weekly vigil, sponsored by the York County (SC) Greens but open to all, is at the corner
of Eden Terrace and Oakland Avenue. Bring signs that people can identify with, like "Students
for a Non-violent Future" or "Thesbians for Peace" or "Taxpayer for justice" or "Teacher for
an End to War" or to indicate location, like "Rock Hill for Peace" or "South Pointe High School
for Peace"
We stand, chant if so moved, socialize, sing and have fun in general. Peace is the word!
