1. The address was.....
4131 White Horse Rd
Greenville, SC 29611

The next time I'm out that way, I'll look for the lot it used to stand on and report back.. I have friends that live out that way.

3. Southwest corner of US-25 and US-123 intersection
The southwest corner of US-25 (White Horse Road) and US-123 (New Easley Highway).

I remember seeing movies there with my family as a child, including Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum (not sure why that's prominent in my memory but it is).

Please forgive my nosiness ... what is your interest in such an obscure fact as the location of the old drive-in theater? At least one inquiring mind wants to know.

I remember going to the White Horse Drive-In Theater many times as a child. We'd pile into the 1953 Buick station wagon and go out to the drive-in on Saturday nights. I don't remember much about the movies but I do remember the ride back home after midnight, after falling asleep in the back, looking upward at the sky and hearing the click-clack click-clack sound as the car drove over the joints in the road, and then being quietly carried inside to bed by my parents. Those are precious memories to me.

6. I also used to go to the White Horse Road Drive In...
as well as the Augusta Road Drive In, The Greer Drive In, and The King Cotton Drive In. There was also another one, but I can't remember the name...maybe "Cedar" in the name?
I worked at the Belmont Drive In throughout high school in the 70s

7. I remember Augusta Road Drive In too.
I saw "Old Yeller" there, and "The Yearling" at one or the other.

Strangely, after all these years, I remember seeing the preview of "Snowfire." Just the preview. It must've really impressed me.
