What's the ratio of Kerry:* ads in your state?
I'm wondering because of all the polls showing * ahead. I can't understand how he could pull ahead after lifting the steel tarrifs and the poor economic conditions.

1. In Central Florida Bush's ads are ahead of Kerry ads I would say...
...by at least three to one. I am watching mostly cable news and CBS, plus a smattering of History and Discovery Channels. But, this tells me the repugs have the money and they will bombard the cable-waves/airwaves. Kerry and DNC has got to get access to a lot more money or his message and his image will be far over-shadowed by the RNC.

2. You're in PA, so you must be getting a fair amount of Kerry AND Bush ads.
I'm in CA, and we're getting NOTHING but Bush ads. Nary a Kerry ad to be found.

Bush/Cheney are wasting their money. They're blanketing the airwaves willy-nilly, all to remain dead even with Kerry, while Bush's approval ratings continue to sink.

Kerry's playing it smart. Rove won't know what hit him.

I'm in Minnesota. I'm asking PA DUers this question because of the polls showing * ahead.

7. In suburban Philly...
I've seen quite a few Bu$h ads -- though I'm getting a lot quicker at hitting the mute button ;) -- some anti-Bu$h ads sponsored by third parties, and very few Kerry ads. :(

5. va beach haven't seen
Not many of each. I think I have seen more bush. I don't watch much TV because there is nothing on. I have scheduled show times. I don't have cable.
Only shows I watch
West Wing on Wednesday night
Doc on Sunday night
Sue Thomas FBI
Apprentice is gone now

Everything else that was wholesome has been taken off the air.
Providence
Body and Soul
Just Cause
Ed

Most ads on the Internet that I see are Kerrys against Bush. Great little animations. Some are fun just to play over and over.

6. I have seen ZERO ads in Dallas
And all the polls don't show * ahead, in fact most of the polls this week have shown Kerry ahead. The poll everyone is talking about is the CNN poll, but what they don't tell you is that the breakdown on that poll is 40% repug, 34% Democrat, 26% independent. Seeing as there are more Democrats than repugs, it is giving an unfair 6 point advantage to *. Which is less than * leads by according to that poll. I think the independent vote will come out strong for Kerry, as will the undecided. Dick Morris, the asshole, came out with an article saying the challenger gets 85% of the undecided vote in most years. He also said that Dem's always pick up a few points on election day. The election will open up soon, as Kerry's ads get out, and after the conventions.

8. I have seen zero ads for either one in San Diego, CA
In 2000, Bush spent a lot of time and money on Cali, only to get crushed by 1.3 million votes on election day. I think he's already written off CA as a blue state.

9. All Bush* ads in Northern VA
If it comes on Broadcast TV, it is aimed at the DC Metropolitan area. If it comes on cable, I think it is national.
I generally watch CNN or MSNBC in the late afternoon and early evening. Maybe something on Broadcast TV later in the evening. Haven't seen any Kerry ads lately.

There are only two Bush* ads. I'm getting bored with them. I want to see Bush run on his veteran record. How about an ad saying how he defended his country and now he is giving others the opportunity to do the same.

10. Sorry, all the polls look like neck and neck to me
Even Gallop and ABC/Washington post - too close to margin of error.

At any rate I am in Iowa - I see more pro-dem than anti Kerry. . .Bush ads, and then a MoveOn ad, and then a Kerry ad.

I saw one ad by a 527 group attacking bush's medicare plan... but I've seen a grand total of 0 Kerry ads. Of course, I've seen every single Bush ad. repeatedly.

And I don't watch more than an hour of tv a night.

things might get better when the Specter-Toomey primary ends and they quit sucking up the market.

15. Central PA, I would say almost even but
with more Bush ads. I am very happy that everyday in my local paper the Kerry Campaign has had the banner, on the internet.

But we are being flooded with so many Toomey/Spector Shuster/Delgrosso ads, that you can't go through a commercial break without seeing 6 republican ads to one or 2 Moveon ads, and a Kerry ad.

And the ratio seems to be pretty fair and we're seeing a ton of them.

Incidentally, why are so many DU'ers using "*" instead of the name I am now afraid to type and don't know why?

21. 1:20
One Kerry ad for twenty * ads in central Pa. That's my approximation of the ratio of ads being shown here. Kerry's ads are all positive so far. * started with a mix of positive and attack ads. Lately it's become all attack ads.

22. Where I live in W. PA, its Bush* ads every 20 minutes. We watch TV
a lot lately due to being housebound while on the mend. There are Kerry ads, perhaps 10% of what Bush* has.

23. Arizona: Great New Kerry Ads.....
Small man bush has less adds. Only saw one and I mute it anyway. Can't stand that fooks face. I think the repigs know that Arizona has turned Democrat and are spending less money here. DaDick has been here, for 40 minutes, at an out of sight airplane hanger with his private buddies. He's been in AZ at least 8 times. Local people have never even seen DaDick.
