Democratic strategy in the Sunday edition of the County rag.
Seems interesting. Wish I was there.

Saturday’s summit for the Chester County Democratic Party turned out to be a tough look at the challenges facing the party.


Independent political analyst Terry Madonna, a professor of public affairs at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, didn’t pull any punches in his address to about 70 area Democrats at West Chester University.

He traced voting trends throughout the state.

One way, he said, the Democratic Party could win a statewide election is if it did well in the southwestern part of the state among blue-collar voters and did reasonably well in the Philadelphia suburbs, capturing three of four counties.

But the irony is that the candidates and issues that work in Philadelphia suburban areas drive southwestern voters away.
