Pgh PA - Call to Action - Fight Santorum / Support Flood Relief 12/2/04
EVENT: ANTI-SANTORUM / SUPPORT FLOOD AID
DATE: 12/2/04
TIME: 6:45P-8:15P
WHERE: HEINZ HALL (Springsteen Flood Aid Concert–8:00P) 600 PENN AVE
MEET: CORNER OF PENN AND 6TH (6:45P)

PURPOSE: To keep pressure on Santorum concerning the Flood issue and to lend moral support to the Flood Aid effort

Santorum is mounting a major defensive effort on several fronts. 1) His recent appearance to “fulfill” his jury duty obligations. 2) His attempts to justify the CYBERGATE Scandal (defending taking money from Penn Hills taxpayers to pay for his children’s education in Virginia.) 3) Trying to clean up the image of “photo-op Ricky” which resulted from his “let them eat cake” attitude toward flood victims.

The purpose of this visibility rally will be the 3rd item: Attack Santorum / Support Flood Aid. This night is for the Flood Victims. We don’t want to step on their evening - not too much anyway. If done right, this event will result in negative publicity for Santorum and help the Flood Aid effort.

We’ll need participants to bring their own signs. I know there are so many issues that Ricky can be attacked on, but for this event I think it best to emphasize the Flood issue as much as possible. There is time for CYBERGATE and other issues later. Also bring a can of food to contribute to the food bank!

Some suggestions for signs:

-GIVE TO FLOOD AID CHARITIES
-SUPPORT FLOOD AID / DUMP SANTORUM
-BRUCE HELPS / SANTORUM HIDES
-BRUCE GIVES / SANTORUM TAKES
-BRUCE IS THE BOSS/ RICKY A TOTAL LOSS
-“LET THEM BUY INSURANCE” - santorum
-"NO MONEY FOR RELIEF” - santorum
-SANTORUM GO HOME – TO VIRGINIA
-DISASTER FOR PITTSBURGH = PHOTO-OP FOR SANTORUM
-HEY SANTORUM! WHAT IF THE CYBER SCHOOL WAS FLOODED?
-SANTORUM! WAIT TIL YOU FEEL THE FLOOD OF VOTERS IN '06

1. Thanks
for the news and the links. Ricky doesn't show up much in this part of the state.

2. "Your welcome"...
you didn't say what part of the state you're from but if we work hard enough we'll retire ricky to his estate in virginia in '06 and he won't have to show up in any part of PA.

3. Harrisburg part of the state
He showed up with * on *'s weekly visits here this year, but otherwise we never hear from him. And keep in mind that Ricky couldn't really do a daily commute to DC from Pittsburgh, but lots of regular people commute to DC from the counties south of us that border Maryland. He could live in Greencastle and have a faster commute than his current one (plus much cheaper real estate prices, only one mortgage and RE tax bill, no sales tax on groceries and clothing, and the appearance of a sensible, thrifty, old-fashioned Republican).
