NY Times: Were Warnings of Problems for Foreign Exchange Students in Hershey Warehouse

The program to have college and graduate students work for a summer in the US is supposed to be a cultural exchange. It has grown to over 300,000 jobs a year filled by students from other countries, with very little oversight. An abusive situation was revealed at a Hershey Corp warehouse run by a subcontractor a few months ago. Here is a good update from today's New York Times.

The US Government is adding a new set of inspectors to address problems.

Disney World also benefits mightily from this cheap source of foreign labor and abuses their students to a similar degree. I suggest reposting this in GD in order to get greater exposure and possibly spark a boycott against companies who abuse their guest workers.
