I DESPERATELY need a favor.
As some of you may know, I'm working on a huge genealogy of my Smith family. I have about 800 pages so far. I've been traveling the country, meeting with descendant cousins, scanning their photos and collecting family stories, letters, etc.
We have a woman who died probably in Butler in March of 1985 named Fausta Brown (maiden name McCain), and I need a copy of her obituary from the newspaper microfilm at the library.
I'm planning on making a visit to PA in the late spring or early summer (provided reprehensor gets up here soon and gets employed). I don't know if she had any kids, but if she did, I'd like to make contact and try to visit with them while I'm there.
Right now I have no other way to get a copy of this obit. There are no Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteers working in that area.
Could anyone help? I can pay you for gas and copy costs. Thanks! :hi: fsc
