Hi Oregonians! Good tattoo place in or near Portland?

My daughter and I are visiting colleges in Portland and in Washington. The darling wants us to get matching tats while we are there. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks in advance! m

A lot depends on the particular type of tats you and daughter want. But for a family-friendly, super-professional artist, it's tough to go wrong with Tanya at "Above The Pearl". She's done tats for a number of friends, her work is 1st-rate, and they all spoke well of her. The one drawback is that she's by appointment only, so you'd need to schedule in advance.

We are looking for something small and sweet--it'll be the first one for both of us. Yikes!! :) Thanks for the heads up about needing an appointment-we will try to figure out our schedules ahead of time. Is scone-throwing your state sport? We bet get a few practices in before we leave Chicago!!

3. Scone-throwing has it's fans, but it comes in a distant 4th behind...

...beer drinking, mocking pretentious hipsters in skinny jeans, and convincing ourselves we are the most supremely bestest people on the planet.
