I thought people might be interested in this.

Onward Oregon is a website for the Oregon progressive movement. It is a marriage of The Bus Project and Move On.

They're not looking for cash at the moment, only support.

2. They're my friends...
Often I agree with them. Sometimes I don't. That's what happens when you're a grown up working in a big-tent party.

I do know that the Oregon Bus project doesn't define themselves or "Progressive" in traditional liberal/conservative terms. As you can hear from their occasional ads, they want to go: "Not left. Not right. Forward."

Also, speaking only for myself, I take issue with the idea that traditional conservative values - a healthy skepticism of politicized government largess, and a focus on efficiency - is somehow incompatible with a Democratic management of the country. It's the Republicans who seem determined to waste trillions of taxpayer dollars on their own cronies, not us.

Smaller, efficient, less intrusive government was the hallmark of the Clinton administration. I'd like to see it continued, since as you may recall, Clinton's policies seemed to be pretty good at encouraging the growth of jobs in this country.
