Bond denied for 4 accused of tattooing Okla. man
KEN MILLER | Associated Press • Published May 06, 2011

OKLAHOMA CITY – Bond was denied Friday for two men and two women accused of pinning down a man who has learning disabilities, tattooing the word "RAPEST" on his forehead and shocking his genitals with a stun gun before beating him unconscious with a baseball bat.

Richard Dellert, 25, Zachary Provence, 21, Kimberly Kirchler Vergara, 24, and Lorena Hodges, 33, remain in the Oklahoma County jail following the brief video arraignment in Oklahoma County District Court. Vergara, identified as Kirchler in the police report and as Vergara in jail records, identified herself as Kimberly Kirchler Vergara.

None of the four defendants, dressed in orange jail jumpsuits, spoke during the arraignment other than to state their names. Vergara fidgeted as the hearing began while the other suspects stood quietly. Provence appeared with his head shaven, in contrast to his jail photo that shows him with medium-length brown hair.

Del City Police Capt. Jody Suit has said the four defendants told authorities they were trying to punish Johnson after one of the women accused him of trying to have sex with her. Johnson, who said he is acquainted with all four suspects but has never tried to hurt any of them, denies the allegation. Suit says there's no evidence to support it.

1. "Rapest"?
Who picked them up, the spelling police?
This inked typo goes a long way in understanding the kind of people we're dealing with here.
Perhaps the headline should be that learning disabled criminals attacked another learning disabled person, but I bet they don't see it that way.

Pitiful

6. Thanx for clearing that up. I had no idea.
In that case, the assailants should be forced to wear that tat as well.

3. Thank you for posting the videos. My gosh, he's just a kid!
It should be explained that the victim's forehead was worked on with a temporary tatoo of a barcode over the original to obscure the original slur.

I haven't heard when they will be able to remove the whole thing.

What a shame.

Thank you very much.

The World will undoubtedly be a better place for it, Methinks.
