Judge Jennifer Brunner - future candidate for SOS
I listened to Judge Jennifer Brunner speak. She will be running for the Secretary of State office once she resigns from the Court in September. I was pretty impressed with her. She made a good point about how the Ohio SOS seat could be pivotal. The need to restore integrity to an office in a State that essentially clinched this POTUS election is important. She also outlined a number of initiatives and actions by Blackwell that not only lacked integrity but that violated some of his own directives. Has anyone else listened to her speak? Any opinions?

1. Judge Brunner
I haven't heard her speak, but I met her and her husband Rick Saturday night at the Ohio Democratic Gala.

Except for the fact that I've been snowed under with political work and work that actually pays the bills, I would have already written it all up on my blog. Hopefully today.

Rick Brunner sent me a great deal of information that I need to go through and I hope to be of some help in her campaign once it gets off the ground on Sept 1st.

If you hear of other speeches she will give, please post them here or send me an email at the address below.

I also met a gentleman who states that he will be running for Attorney General. His name is Subodh Chandra and is a law professor at Case Western Reserve and was recently Director of Law of the City of Cleveland.

The Ohio SoS race is of particular interest for me and I hope to do what I can to help.

Paul

3. Glad to hear that
The packet she sent to our county HQ was lacking that quality. She had a very good bio page that had nothing on it about her running for SOS. The only way I made the connection was to read another page that was a reprint of a news article.

5. Packet
Well, I haven't had a chance to read the stuff over just yet, so I can't vouch for it at all.

6. She probably can't put together campaign material yet
She cannot raise money for her campaign until she resigns from the bench, so she probably cannot print any campaign materials until September 1. That may be the reason the packet was not very detailed.

7. That would probably be the reason
I passed out the material we had at our book discussion group today. Her candidacy got a good reception.
