Hi, thanks so much to Juliet Steward --who had a meeting of her new group to contest the Ohio election, leading to a recount-- and all the many others who are working to look into election irregularities, and working on a recount to overturn this fraudulent election. Thanks, Cheryl (212)505-8647

(1) I just found out about a new group that is doing election audit work, coordiating with blackboxvoting.org but is contrating on Ohio. Any information of irregularities they come up with can be use by Juliet's group to contest the election in Ohio.

They need volunteers--no specialized knowledge is necessay, must just call or visit local election boards to get info: this is their website:www.neohioact.org/electionaudit

(3) Saturday November 13, 1-4 PM
The Ohio Citizens Alliance for Secure Elections (CASE-OH), Ohio Election Reform
Now, Common Cause Ohio, This Time We're Watching, Driving Votes, and the Columbus League of Pissed Off Voters are calling for public hearings to investigate voting irregularities and voter suppression in Ohio surrounding the 2004 General Election.

THIS IS A STATEWIDE CALL TO ACTION. VOTERS AND POLL WORKERS FROM AROUND THE STATE ARE INVITED TO TESTIFY.

New Faith Baptist Church
955 Oak Street
Columbus, Ohio 43205

There will be a second hearing session in Columbus:
Monday November 15, 6-9 PM, Location TBA.

Citizens, voting experts, and investigative journalists will be invited
to present testimony for the pubic record documenting instances of voting
irregularities and systematic voter suppression. The coalition hopes to expose
the systemic undermining of our democratic process that occurred leading up to
and on Nov 2, and assess how to respond to racial disenfranchisement and
suppression of democratic rights.

The local coalition currently has the support of:

* Ohio Senator Teresa Fedor
* freelance journalist Lynn Landes
* Professor Robert Fitrakis (Free Press)
* Columbus Community Leader Bill Moss

We are seeking support from US Congressional Representatives, Ohio State
Representatives, nonpartisan organizations, and community and national
leaders. Experts and investigative reporters are invited to present testimony as
well.
To get involved, sponsor this call, or testify on Saturday, contact:

4.Minutes of last night's meeting
The meeting took place at the Daily Grind Coffee House at 7pm. We had passed around a contact sheet as people began to come in the coffee house. Everyone introduced themself after Juliet Stewart gave a general introduction about herself and the objective of this group coming together in Ohio to get a recount and investigation on the Kerry votes.

The Meeting's organizer is Juliet Stewart. Her email address is:
Juliet067@aol.com. Her phone is: 513.531.9017. Her cell phone is:
513.807.9017.

Bob Drake mentioned two incidences of voter fraud. The first involved the stylus
used to punch through the ballot was too short and did not leave a hole where the
voter had punched. The second was a misalignment of the ballot. The voter
wanted to punch Line 9 for candidate John Kerry but when the voter looked at the
ballot, Line 10 had been punched.

Regarding the first instance, the voter reported the problem to the Board of
Elections (BOE) as well as to the Kerry Campaign Headquarters.

Don McTigue is the attorney who is representing the Democratic Party in Ohio. He is
located in Columbus. He cannot advise our group because he has already been
retained.

Audrey Morrison mentioned an incident of voter disenfranchisement at her polling
place in Walnut Hills, the Ingleside Church. Two precincts vote at this church. A
young woman was not on the list of either precinct yet she was not offered a
Provisional Ballot.

Another attendee alleged that Rucker’s name was erased and Deter’s was written
in. Rucker is the man who ran for the Prosecutors office in Hamilton County after MIke Allen resigned from a sex scandal here in Cincinnati.

John Kerry's Senate Office phone: 202.224.2742
Fax: 202.224.8525

Three attendees mentioned that George W. Bush was in Columbus, Ohio possibly
meeting with Ken Blackwell (Secretary of State) between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. on
Election Day, November 2, 2004. This is highly unusual and appears suspect to
many since the Exit Polls had been reported to show a large lead for Bush’s
opposing candidate, Senator Kerry.

It was suspected that Rucker was promised by the Democratic Party that he could
run for Mayor as a deal. This was denied by the Rucker Campaign.

Bob Drake said he is a Ph.D.. at University of Cincinnati and can do statistical work.

For a class action suit to be filed, we need 25 registered voters who voted in the
state of Ohio to sign a petition requesting a recount.

Ben spoke of a book, “Vote Scam,” that was published in the 1970’s or 1980’s that
is quite enlightening on Voter Fraud. The two counties that the authors (the Collier
Brothers) focused on were Dade County in Florida and Hamilton County in Ohio.

The web site, Democraticunderground.com has good information on the exit poll
discrepancies that occurred throughout the United States. Ralph Nader is working
for a recount in New Hampshire.
We also discussed naming a Yahoogroup list OhioRecount 04. All the people present and others who were not present and want to be involved will be added to this group.

The next meeting will be next Sunday at 7pm possibly at the University of Cincinnati or the Pleasant Ridge Recreational Center.

Juliet informed us that Susan Sarandon was in Ohio on Election Day and
witnessed voter fraud. She was on Bill Maher’s TV show last night and discussed
this.

The name “Ohio Recount 2004” was chosen as the group’s name.

Attendees from www.case.org were on hand.

Someone said that Election Protection was being contacted and working on a
recount effort, too. Pam Futerer and Audrey Morrison are going to contact Election
Protection on Monday to get documentation of Voter Fraud and any irregularities/
impediments to the voter.

It was mentioned that 74 people did not get their absentee ballots in the mail. This
needs to be documented.

An attendee mentioned that the votes in Butler County were counted behind closed
doors without a representative of either party watching. This was done for reasons
of ‘homeland security.’

Blackboxvoting.org started by Bev Harris was mentioned. She has been working
on documentation of voter fraud.

Audrey Morrison will contact a woman from The League of Women Voters.

Democraticunderground.com provides good statistics and is a good source of
information.

An attendee felt it would be important to have a form to use when asking voters
about any problems they encountered on Election Day.

On the form, such information such as name, address, phone, email address, and a
detailed account of the problem that occurred. What precinct? What location
(church, library, etc.)? The time of day. Names of people involved or a description
of the person who was causing a problem for the voter. Be as specific as possible
in documenting the problem.

We adjourned with the plan of meeting at UC next Sunday evening.
UPDATE
Meeting may be held at the Pleasant Ridge Recreational Center. Any suggestions for Sunday's meeting here in Cincinnati.
