Mr. Nownow and I got our polling place confirmations from Montgomery County Board of Elections midweek last week. They essentially confirm that you're registered and advise you of your polling place.
If you live in Montgomery County (i.e., Dayton and surrounding incorporations) and didn't get one, or if you don't recognize the address for your polling place on the card, I encourage you to contact the BOE and find out what's going on.
The good part is, if you got a card, you won't have to worry about whether you're registered or not. The mailing goes out to registered voters and tells them where to vote, so you know you'll be on the list and you'll know they'll be able to just hand you a ballot when you get there.
I don't know if other counties in Ohio do this -- if anybody knows, it might be good to post in this thread so others will know if they need to contact the BoE for information.
