Action Alert! Jobs Mission Not Accomplished
Let George Bush know that Ohio continues to suffer under his lack of leadership. Ohio has lost more than 220,000 jobs since Bush became president, and more than 170,000 in manufacturing.
Ohio Democrats are rallying across the street from each of Bush’s four stops on Tuesday, May 4. Everyone is encouraged to come out and let him know it is time for a change. Here are the details:
Toledo – Pancake Picket – On the sidewalk across the street from the Lucas County Recreation Center, Key Street, Maumee. Bush is expected to arrive at 9:15 a.m. Limited parking. Shuttle service available from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 50 – 7570 Caple Blvd. Northwood. Parking in Maumee will be extremely difficult. Arrive 7 a.m. for shuttle from Local 50 to Recreation Center.
Dayton – Anti-Bush Rally – 10:30 a.m. – In the auto dealership lot next to Hara Arena, 1001 Shiloh Springs Road, Trotwood. Bush is expected to begin speaking at 12:15 p.m.
Lebanon – Picket the President beginning at 12:45 a.m. in front of Lebanon Public Library at 101 South Broadway. Bush is expected to begin speaking at 2:15 p.m.
Also Join the Warren County Democrats in Action for the Democratic Unity Picnic from 1-6 p.m. at Harmon Park and Picket the President beginning at 12:45 a.m. in front of Lebanon Public Library at 101 South Broadway. Bush is expected to begin speaking at 2:15 p.m.
Picnic at Harmon Park Shelter 1, East Street south of Main, Lebanon. Music, Burgers, Beverages provided. Bringing a dish is appreciated. Directions: From the north come south on Route 48 to Miller Road (the high school is on the right.) Take Miller Road east (Left) until it connects with the R 48 By-pass. Take the R 48 By-pass to Deerfield Road exit. Go North (Right) on Deerfield Rd until it veers sharply left. Stay straight on East Street. Continue on East Street to the first street past the Harmon Golf Club which is the entrance to the park.
From the south go north on the R 48 By-pass to the Deerfield Road Exit. Take Deerfield Road north until it veers sharply to the left. Stay straight on East Street to the first street past the Harmon Golf Club which is the entrance to the park.
Cincinnati – Gather at the Gardens – Doors open to Bush rally at the Cincinnati Gardens at 4:30. Bush speaks approximately 6:30. Democrats gather at the "Free Speech Zone" across the street from the Cincinnati Gardens, on Seymour Avenue on the sidewalk.
DIRECTIONS: From I-75, take OH-4/PADDOCK RD SOUTH exit (exit number 9)- toward OH-561/SEYMOUR AVE. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto PADDOCK RD/OH-4. Turn LEFT onto SEYMOUR AVE/OH-561.
