Cincinnati Attorney, former talk show host, Tea Party Gasbag, CNN Contributor Eric Deters Fired
Edited on Thu Jun-02-11 01:21 PM by votesparks
The Dayton Informer became embroiled in a controversy last week, as our staff captured and re-posted a now famous video of Cincinnati Attorney and former 700 WLW talk show host Eric Deters entitled, “White Women and Pot.”

While Cincinnati radio is usually beyond our topic of coverage, we decided to re-post the video to highlight the kind of rhetoric coming from the hosts of the region’s most powerful AM radio station, and which is popular in the Dayton region as well. Deters asked us to take down the video, which we did, and he apologized, which we accept.

However, his voice mail reveals that perhaps Mr. Deters didn’t really realize why what he said was wrong. In this two-part post, Dayton Informer Editor and Publisher David Sparks and Guest Commentator Audra Sparks break down what the controversy means for Southwestern Ohio, and what needs to be done.
