The push back in Ohio on SB 5 and Kasich is starting
We need a huge crowd there this Saturday for the media to even give this a little
coverage. Come on Ohio turn out!

***************

Dear xxx ,

We have a long road ahead. We overcame the first hurdle to repeal Senate Bill 5: turning in 1,000 signatures so that we can get ballot language approved. That language will be approved within the next 10 days and we will then begin to gather 231,149 signatures by June 30 in order to put Senate Bill 5 on the November ballot. Then we must mount a massive, statewide grassroots-based campaign to educate Ohioans on the need to overturn the bill. Out-of-state corporate interests will spend millions to defeat us, but we will beat them with a groundswell of activism from supporters like you.

Our journey begins this Saturday, April 9, as thousands of Ohioans will descend on the Statehouse in Columbus to officially kick off the campaign to repeal Senate Bill 5. We wanted to extend you, your friends, your co-workers and your family an invitation to attend the ‘We are Ohio’ Senate Bill 5 Repeal Rally Kickoff.

Details are as follows:

Saturday, April 9, 2011
‘We are Ohio’ Rally Kickoff
West Lawn of the Ohio Statehouse
1 Capitol Square, Columbus, OH
Rally begins at 12:00 p.m.

Please join Ohioans from all walks of life who believe as you do that we must fight to protect the middle class in our state. Let us know you can make it by clicking here.

We hope to see you Saturday at noon.

Sincerely,

Liz Brown, Political Director
Ohio Democratic Party
