<<COLUMBUS — Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann admitted he had an inappropriate relationship with a staff member and apologized to his wife for that relationship.

In a press conference timed within hours of the release of an internal investigation of sexual harassment claims by two staffers, Dann said the investigation of his close friend and now-fired colleague Anthony Gutierrez has been "horrible" and "painful," and said he had wanted to speak out about that and other accusations of misdeeds by his office. ...

Dann acknowledged mistakes in his handling of the office.
"I was not as well prepared for this office as I should have been," he said.<<

This has been an embarrassment from the get-go.

ON EDIT REDUX: Here is a Columbus Dispatch link to augment the shitty DDN reporting, as well as a P-D link that says Dann will not resign.

1. He is an embarrassment.
What in the world was this guy thinking?

Have drinking parties with staff, hiring cronies, overlooking unethical behavior....

I wish he would resign.

2. He may not have a choice.
If I were Ted, Mark and I would be having a talk...and soon.

And does Dann think that saying "I didn't know how tough the job would be" will really cut it? Puleeze.

It was also on the news last night that one of the women in the Guiterrez case came back from vacation to find her office trashed, right down to letters on her desk being opened.

5. Man...I just caught Dann's presser on the Ohio News Network.
What. An. Idiot.

He admitted:

1) He didn't know how to run his office.
2) He underestimated how hard the job would be.
3) He wasn't expecting to win the job in the first place, so he really didn't know what he was getting into.

And this guy is an ATTORNEY????

If I can find a link to this, I'll post it. It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

9. Yeah, old Dann was the topic of conversation with friends tonight
We all think he should pack his bags and head back to Youngstown (if they still want him).

In the meantime, pardon me while I :banghead:

11. Just had the same conversation with my next-door neighbor.
Off to Youngstown with you, Dann.

I do, however, feel sorry for his wife and kids. Shame on him.
