Ohio Majority Radio Project - Sign The Petition Today

It's been a whirlwind since we read on Dec 23rd that WTPG 1230AM Progressive Radio was going to switch formats in Columbus to be yet another right wing radio station. This is scheduled to happen Jan 9th at 9:00am

Starting Christmas night, a group of us has been working to fight this and on the 26th, we launched:

In less than 72 hours, with all of the progressive hosts being either on re-runs or having fill-in hosts, we have now 1,009 signatures and counting.

The real action will begin on Tuesday when Stephanie Miller gets back on the air live. We have been in close contact with her and her executive producer Chris LaVoie on this. Dave From Columbus (Gahanna actually) will be calling in at 9:30am. Dave is a regular contributor, via email only, to the Stephanie Miller show but has agreed to drop the veil of radio silence for this cause. Dave is a key member of the OMR team.

and sign the petition. Tell us your comments on the site. We are even now developing a concrete action plan and will be communicating with everyone via email very soon.

This is bigger than Columbus ... Progressive Radio has already left Cincinnati as well as in other cities across the country.

Fight for our voice ... the bona fide majority voice (see 2006 election results!).

I cried when I heard the announcement. I spend a lot of time in New Orleans and they just cancelled there also. I have no newspaper, no magazines, no TV and now no Radio. If not for the internet, there would be nothing. Do these media idiots realize they are killing their own business ?

8. I have tried several times and I keep getting a

message to use a valid e-mail address. I travel to Columbus several times a year and spend the night
for medical appointments and always listen to WTPG when I am there. We have nothing but RW nut jobs on the radio in SE Ohio and what is strange about it the SE votes heavily Democrat.
