Of interest to SW Ohio DUers
Mostly Cincinnati ones, I guess, though if I didn't have a final in a night class Wednesday night, I'd probably consider going:

----------------------------------------------------------------

Greg Harris fundraiser

You are invited to a night of standup comedy featuring Comic Revolution performers Tyrone Hawkins, Jon Mott, Chris Wagel, and Tim Jones.

It is Wednesday, April 28th at 7:30pm, at the Mad Frog (1 E. Mcmillan, in Clifton).

* Greg Harris is a Democrat running for Ohio's 1st congressional district, hoping to oust that combed-over neanderthal, Steve Chabot.
* Check out Greg Harris at http://www.electgregharris.com.
* There is No Cover Charge, but donations to Mr. Harris' campaign will be gratefully accepted.

The guy who's the MC for this is also in a band with a friend of mine. I don't know anything about Greg Harris, but anybody who's willing to take on 'Swirly' Chabot can't be all bad, even if he probably doesn't have a snowflake's chance.

1. I'll try to check it out.
Chabutt's seat is usually more heavily contested than the 2nd district. I'd say the chances are more in Harris's favor than you think.

2. Greg Harris
I've met Greg a few times. He was a late substitute candidate two years ago, and is much better prepared this time around, both financially and personally. He has gotten much better at his "stump speech."

Comb-over's district leans Republican, but is usually more competitive than Portman's.
