Signspotting in Dayton..East Side and South Suburbs....

Did another spin around town doing an informal lawn sign count....

East Dayton: Huffman, Huffman Hill, Western Hills, Ohmer Park, Belmont....

6 Kerry, 3 Bush, 1 for the libertarian guy.

Kettering: Greenmont, and the subdivisions off Wilimington Pike:

11 Kerry/Edwards, 17 Bush/Cheney

Centerville: the older subdivisions around the four corners area, mostly east of Far Hills...

5 Kerry/Edwards, 6 Bush/Cheney

As I posted elsewhere Oakwood had by far the most Kerry/Edwards signs

But I was suprised at the dearth of Kerry signs in Dayton proper...youd think thered be more.

1. Kerry signs have been hard to get around here (near Fraze)

It's only been VERY recently that lawn signs have been available here, so I've been surprised to see as many as I have.

Seeing quite a few Kerry stickers around town, but a fair number of W stickers too.

Still waiting to put up my sign... have no idea about the temperature of the neighborhood, but everyone hates me already so I may not be a fair judge.

2. Lots of Bush stickers in Wash Twp..& a Middletown Note...

..I was in Middletown today, too, and noticed in the older part of town a car that had a lot of Kerry/Edwards stickers on it, and a big "Dump Bush" message written on the back windown with that white stuff you write "Just Married" with on car windows.

I wish I had a digital camera as I would love to take a picture of it and post it here.

Stuff like that really bucks-up my morale! :-)

4. You couldn't be too far from us, here.

I see both, in the way of yard signs, though I think most of my immediate neighbors are wingnuts. Mr. Nownow and I have been trying to think of a way to thwart vandalism, considering we may well be outnumbered in the neighborhood, we haven't come up with anything certain yet. Had some ideas, but nothing concrete.

6. I've been phoning all the known Dems on my street

to "encourage" them to display yard signs -- so far, only TWO takers out of seven!

Boo!

Oh well, yard signs do not an election make.

5. Five COUNT'EM Five

Kerry signs along Far Hills in Kettering, one right after the other. Can't miss 'em! They're just screaming to be ripped off, though, so enjoy 'em while you can!

On the down note, the Bush signs seem to be springing up like the weeds that they are.

8. Quite a few springing up near Wright State

5 in the Beavercreek/Fairborn/Bath Township area near Wright State - no Bush signs yet, but a few stickers.

9. Correction - 1 Bush sign

...a comical, handmade Bush-Cheney sign on Col. Glenn Hwy, mainly visible from SR844 South.
