Mongo quoted on the front page of the Zanesville paper

in regard to the Bush protest and the previous Times Recorder article that said there were only a few protesters. This was on the front page of yesterday's TR:

Bush protesters meet oppositon at rally in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE -- A group of John Kerry supporters was frustrated in their attempt to show opposition to President Bush during his campaign rally in Cambridge on July 31.

Don Wreath of Crooksville was part of the group of what he estimated to be 25 to 50 who marched from Democratic Headquarters downtown toward the Cambridge City Park, where the rally was being held.

According to Wreath, the group started walking toward the rally site about 11:30 a.m. and passed one or two police officers manning road blocks at side streets. They were then directed down an alley and several blocks away to what they were told was the "public viewing area."

6. According to the parks department...

Bush/Cheney 04 paid $75.00 to rent THE BALL FIELD alone, not the whole park as the chief of police is quoted as saying.

So is the parks department wrong or the chief of police?

I'm taking bets its the chief of police.

The amazing part is that something may actually come of this. We got a call at HQ today from the steelworkers union. They are considering paying for a lawsuit.
