Any NC DU'ers written to Senator Dole?
I am in the process of doing so, ....for whatever good it will do, ......never hear anything about her....she's awfully quiet for a Senator. Just wondering what, if any, responses you might have gotten from her?

16. She'll reply - two or three weeks later via snail mail
The letter will be a form letter in which she'll claim to care but will re-avow her love of all things Bush.

I have little use for that woman. Her staff is rude when you call and won't answer any questions.

Burr's office is a little more organized and nicer but you get the same response: We don't care what you want. We mark lockstep with our leader.

3. Called her office last week about the repeal of the estate tax
at a time like this. Tried to talk to staffer about tax cut for the rich and relate it to the gulf states disaster because Dole used to be head of Red Cross - staffer was very bored and just wanted off the phone.

4. what's the point?
Does about as much good as writing what's his name.

I've gotten form letters back from her once or twice, more from Burr - they always toe the party line.

Thank you for your letter/concern . . . blah blah blah - and then the spin to make bush look like jesus christ.

6. That's pretty much what I expect
but, fook it, I'm going to write her anyway...just to let her know that one of her, uh, corn-stit-chu-wents, is slightly peeved and requests her to take some action on behalf of the great state of North Carolina and the United States in general....

5. I wrote her a couple of days ago
I expect the standard form letter response.

8. I write to her from time to time: polite letters designed not to trigger
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 09:07 PM by struggle4progress
political defensiveness on her part and intended to try to move her in the right direction on issues where I think there's some chance she could be moved. She's written back once or twice.

I do try especially hard not to send her what would otherwise be good things for democrats to do or say: no sense in giving the evil side our ammo ...

9. I did write her tonight
and like you, was polite and respecful....nothing provocative or confrontational, but I did express my discontent on certain issues

10. I write her and Burr occasionally.
I think I got a response from Burr, but I don't remember one from Dole. I unusually just scan them, then toss them in the trash anyway. We always disagree.

My rep, Sue Myrick is a little bit insane, so her responses tend to be more amusing, if equally odious.

11. Yes, for all the good it does
Once in a while she sends a form letter in response, with glowing blather about whatever it is she was planning to do anyway.

Burr always responds. My shredder has eaten at least twice as much of his propaganda as Dole's.

12. Over and over again.
Nary a word in reply. At least Burr has the decency to retort.
:)

13. She's the worst, and that's saying a lot. Even Charles Taylor
is more likely to listen, and anyone living in Western North Carolina knows what that means. :hurts:

17. I've written to her several times.
I received one canned response. Our other idiot Senator, Burr, has never responded.
