New to NC
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 05:36 PM by madmax
Been here 3 years voted for Obama when I lived in Cary at the Mall. Curbside. wow! There was an office set up inside. Since then I moved to Apex and checked my polling station and it's located in a church.

We're from NJ and I've never voted curb side, malls, or a church. Always a school. Is this common practice here? Just askin :)

1. lotsa different places.
Usually they are public buildings of one sort or another, but not always.

I vote in a fire station.

2. I ask because with the Christian Right I'm a bit
apprehensive of voting in a church where 'divine providence' may lose my vote. Ok, yes I'm paranoid.

3. It's ok. I've gone to many precincts in Wake Co.
and they are all run very professionally and non-partisan.

6. Oh yeah,
I've voted in schools. church community buildings. Lately it's been the Planetarium at UNC.

As long as the building is completely devoid of religious or other group identity on election day, it's fine.

9. Mine is in a church. They have the space and allow community groups to use it.
