Howdy New Yorkers-- Niagara Falls question?
Hi all--

I'm heading up to Albany, the Ithaca area, and Hornell for genealogy research at the end of the month.

Also, I had a cousin cancel on me in Western Pennsylvania, so on short notice, I'm adding Buffalo to the agenda spur of the moment since there are a few people I need to look up there and I can fly out of there.

I may actually have a little time for leisure on Sunday (the day before Memorial Day).

Question: I'd like to avoid taking the rent car across the border if I can, and possibly walk over the Rainbow Bridge. But my MS can sometimes make walking difficult. How much walking would we be talking about? A mile?? Longer? Failing either, how good is the view from the New York side? I really just want to see it, say I've been there, get my coffee mug and go. Maybe have lunch somewhere with a decent view. Any tips?

It looks like something is going on in town on Saturday the 26th. Some sort of Marathon, maybe? I notice all the hotels are booked on Saturday, but there are still a few open.

This will be my first visit to New York, so I'm excited. Anybody in Buffalo interested in hanging out? I'll probably be at the main library most of the day on Saturday. Or at the aforementioned falls on Sunday. Leaving Monday, Memorial Day.

:hi:
