White Plains New York Vigil a Success!
I would say roughly 90-100 people participated in the vigil at the fountain. It was a very peaceful demonstration, with a lot of honks from passing motorists. It felt good to be among friends. How was your vigil?

1. Long Island had two. The one in Great Neck decided to do it every
Wed. because the turnout was great! It was such a moving experience. The people there were terrific. Young, old, everybody was deeply moved by Cindy. Our local tv station was there. They are going to show it at 11. They are also going next Wed, to Great Neck. My guess is we had about 150 people in Garden City. Great Neck said they had a lot more. There were cars beeping as they drove by. It was truly a great night.

2. Rosendale, New York
was great. Roughly 120 or so. Again, lots of honks from motorists. Strong sense of community and family. Thanks to Ken who did a wonderful job hosting it.

5. Hi feelthebreeze
Ken Oldehoff was the organizer of our event. I don't know if he is connected to MoveOn or if he just notified them. He's been active in local politics for a long time, and he is one of the best. I just read your post on the New Paltz turnout. Great job. Seems like Ulster County really turned out tonight.
