NYCers: Anyone going to AmsterJam at Randall's Island?
It is my understanding that you have to be 21 or older to go. Is there ANY way to avoid this? I'm 18 & would really like to see 311. I haven't got a clue if this is an annual event, but if it is... if some of you have gone in the past, maybe you could tell me what the IDing was like? I'm not interested in drinking there, just in seeing the bands. HEEEEELP.

scroll to the very bottom of "venue information" on the right and look under general information and it says :

For Heineken's AmsterJam: 21 and over only. I.D. is required. Above rules apply, also no lawn chairs, no alcohol, Video and/or audio recording prohibited.

i went to warped tour 2004 at randall's island.it is a dust pit and it's so nasty there in the sweltering heat..:shrug:

I really wanted to go to see 311 & maybe Chili Peppers, then I was probably not going to stay...
