Another GOP Candidate Goes "Birther"
This time it's Steve Pearce in New Mexico's 2nd District. The way lies and misinformation get a foothold isn't active, it's passive. And every time a "serious" person who people trust passes up a chance to put this nonsense to bed, it's as bad as if he started the rumor himself.

Compounding my frustration is the fact that he's probably going to win. I've had the race listed as "Lean Republican" for some time, and now the DCCC is cutting back on ad time for his opponent, Rep. Harry Teague.

1. Pearce (R) is a known pinhead so Birfer Heresy is about his speed.

2. A very close race

Saw a poll that has Teague with 44 percent, Pearce with 46.

The TV ads for Pearce in our area have become totally negative attacks on Teague.
