Voted this morning in Westfield
My wife and cast our Kerry and D line votes. At 8:00AM there wasn't many people on line, but by the time we left it was growing. Poll workers (not sure how they know this) said Kerry was way ahead. This is Steve Brokzak / Mike Ferguson home district by the way.

with my husband, also in Westfield. Lines were the longest I have ever seen in the 15 years we have been living here.

Time to throw that slimey Mike Ferguson out of office! Saw Steve Brozak at Union County College last Monday. I really like this guy.

What do you think about the proposed parking deck?

Kerry/Edwards all the way!

:hippie:

edit: I am so excited, I cannot type . . .

3. I voted no on the parking deck
I am a commuter, I use the trains from time to time, and the parking situation is bad. The deck basically creates around 100 spots for commuters and many more for downtown employees. I just didn't see a big benefit for the money they were spending.

I've lived in Summit and Hoboken and they have a much more rational parking situation there. They have large resident only parking garages and a resident permit program that discourages people in town holding on to permits for years on end without actually using them. I figured by voting NO we'll have a shot to see more proposals like this come out of the local government.

2. I just voted in East Orange, and took my mother to vote in Newark..
Both polling places were busier than usual. There were a lot of pumped black folks voting. I saw a lot of seniors and disabled folks voting. A lot of young people voting too.
