Keeping kids home to HEAR Obama.
Jean Constantino may keep her two children home Tuesday, because the Middletown school district is not broadcasting live President Barack Obama's back-to-school speech to students.

"I do think education is valuable," said Constantino, 42, the mother of a fifth-grade daughter and a sophomore son. "I'm caught between a rock and a hard place — How am I to keep them home to listen to the president talk about the value of education and not contradict myself?"

But what Constantino thinks is ridiculous is the district not broadcasting the speech.

"My children should have a right to hear our president making a positive speech, without somebody else making that decision," Constantino said.

2. I want to listen to the speech too
Will it be televised?

I think the way to handle it is to have it shown again in the evening so families can watch - will that be possible.
