Excerpts From ‘The Confession,’ McGreevey’s Autobiography
New York magazine will publish excerpts on Monday from “The Confession,” an autobiography by former Gov. James E. McGreevey of New Jersey, who resigned from office in 2004 after saying he had had a gay affair with Golan Cipel, an Israeli national whom he appointed as the state’s homeland security adviser. After Mr. McGreevey’s resignation, Mr. Cipel fled to Israel without following through on a threat to file a lawsuit and has refused to comment. From the book, published by Regan Books, which will be released on Tuesday

1. I hope the book fails miserably
its just another way for a corrupt man to make money. While yes he did do some good for the state ie domestic partnerships he did do a lot of damage also can we say fast track law, questionable appointments, failure to enact significant pay to play reforms.

3. McGreevey's biggest contribution
to NJ is making a trip to the DMV tolerable. Waiting times have been radically reduced, and that should be his legacy. DMV was working reasonably well until Whitmann privatized it and packed it with cronies and campaign contributors.

4. I agree!
It took me less than 30 minutes to renew my license. Everything was handled very efficiently, and the staff members were all polite and professional. A far cry from what the DMV once was.

Amazing!
