NJDC needs a new approach to press releases.
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 06:55 PM by Kire
Good evening,

First of all, the vituperousness and venomous attacks in the press releases these days, combined with those humiliating flash animations only confirm the Republicans views of us as 'just plain nasty'.

But the main thing is the organization. It's like Richard McGrath never heard of the enter key, much less a word processor. He just types copy and sends it to PoliticsNJ and they post what they get. How does he do it? Furthermore, who is this guy?

Here are some examples:

http://www.politicsnj.com/njdsc071305.htm
http://www.politicsnj.com/njdsc071305a.htm
http://www.politicsnj.com/njdsc071205.htm (where's waldo? cute, but damn it's hard to read)
http://www.politicsnj.com/njdsc071205a.htm
http://www.politicsnj.com/njdsc071105.htm(this one's a little better, but, look, there's somebody else's name (Poag) on it)

Here are the flash videos:
http://www.njdems.org/party.php
http://www.njdems.org/gopunity.php

They're exciting the first time you see them, but then you realize it's a childish kind of excitement.

Also, I just called the phone number on the press release and there is no McGrath in the directory, so not only is he illegible, he's unreachable.

As a Democratic County Committee Member in Warren County, I am calling for an oversight investigation into the press releases of the NJ Democratic Committee. We're supposed to be trying to attract, not alienate, new Dems.

Warm Regards,

Erik B. Anderson
