Andrews expected to endorse Corzine

Rep. Rob Andrews, who has been seriously considering a run for the Democratic nomination for Governor, is expected to endorse U.S. Senator Jon Corzine and co-chair his campaign -- and is likely to to serve as an active participant in the race. South Jersey leaders, who have been firmly committed to the popular seven-term congressman, are now expected to follow his lead in supporting Corzine in what may be a fatal blow to Acting Gov. Dick Codey's candidacy.

2. Agreed, not because he's indispensable; he's not.....

.. rather mediocre, in fact. But it takes a safe Dem seat and throws it up for grabs. For the party to be a force it must hang on to the seats it is holding or face complete irrelevance.

Acting Gov. Codey has a long, reasonably distinguished record and has managed to steer clear of NJ political sleaze... no small accomplishment in that environment.

I'll send $$ to Codey if he runs for a full term. Corzine's on his own.
