New Jersey is not exactly Bush country:
a new Fairleigh Dickinson University poll gives George W. Bush an upside-down 43%-56% approval rating. 50% of New Jerseyans polled say that the country is on the wrong track, while just 36% say it is on the right track.

1. 50% say on wrong track, 36% say on right track
Does the other 14% say we're off the track completely?

2. I'm from Jersey. The other 14% were at the mall & unavailable for comment.

3. Laughing too hard to type good, forgive typos
I'm from Long Island originally. If poll was taken there, the figure would be even higher.

4. I'm from Long Island too. It was as Republican as hell when I was growing
up. I didn't think things could be worse, except I later lived in San Diego where Randy (Kook) Cunningham was my congressman.

I love living where Rush Holt is my congressman.

5. LI seems to be trending D lately
Even with excessive gerrymandering, they could only get 1 puke seat, also Kerry won both counties.

6. The reality is
that most of the country doesn't care what NJ thinks. The strategy has to be "What do Americans think?"

If Dems don't accept that, they have no chance of winning. Until Dems realize that the Democrats that are winning Senate seats are as scary as Repubs, they will always be a party along the lines of "Reform Party" people.

7. That's what they get for trying to turn us red
Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 06:50 PM by rocknation
by using a gay Mossad agent to force Governor McGreevey out of office, and then trying to force a special election!

8. I have my tinfoil hat on.
I can't believe that Bush closed the gap in the election as much as they say he did. I think they scammed us in order to position NJ to go red after a couple more elections. They knew they couldn't cheat all the way to red this time after Gore took NJ by a big chunk, so they'll make it closer in '06 and flip it in '08. I think they're going to do the same thing in California.

Okay, go ahead and tell me I'm a crank, I'm ready (I get practice with that from my kids).

9. It's not totally unbelievable...
Edited on Sun Feb-06-05 12:16 PM by Reverend_Smitty
I knew it was BS when they said that NJ was going from solid blue to undecided a month before the election. Plus with black box voting, all things are possible. The propagandists (MSM) set it up and the Republicans make it happen. It's not too far fetched any more
