Baroni touted for governor run

Last night, a new name surfaced as a potential GOP gubernatorial candidate when former Sen. Bill Schluter pulled out his "Bill Baroni for Governor 2005" sign at a fund-raiser for the freshman lawmaker.

"I’m flattered. I’m honored," Baroni said. "Sen. Schluter has been a mentor to me, but I’m focused on the people in my district right now.

He’s young, extremely likable and enthusiastic. He is viewed as a reformer who has reached across the political lines and ideologies to get the support he has needed.

and he's the same asshole who said that Sue Niederer "ought to find better things to do with her time" as opposed to protest the war that her son was killed in.

...who they drafted to run against Schundler in the primaries last time, thinking the similarity in names would cause confusion and cost Schundler votes?
