Social Security protest in Manchester, March 31
The NH AFL-CIO and friends will be gathering in front of the Charles Schwab CO. in Manchester on March 31 at 11:30 am - to tell Schwab to withdraw from the Alliance for Worker Retirement, a group promoting Social Security Privatization. The Schwab office is on Wall St. (how appropriate)- off Elm St, between Bridge St. and City Hall. The group will protest at Schwab, and then march down to Congressman Jeb Bradley's Manchester office.

This is part of a nationwide event - groups across the country will be protesting at Schwab offices that day. They stand to gain, mightily from the privatization of Social Security, so this is our chance to tell them not to pick our pockets to line theirs.

All investment companies have to really sell is their name and an image. Similar protests have caused other firms (like Edward Jones) to withdraw from the privatization plans.

For more information, call the NH AFL-CIO office 623-7302
